About the project
MOSH was a student digital editorial proposal created in March 2021 as a dedicated space for rock culture, music analysis, and entertainment. Designed to bridge casual fandom with informed commentary, the project offers an accessible, community-driven narrative covering emerging releases, industry debates, and instrumental innovation.
The challenge
Structuring a cohesive magazine layout from scratch during an early learning stage in my career, balancing multiple editorial angles within a unified visual framework. This required translating complex industry discussions—such as streaming royalty models and revenue challenges for new artists—alongside technical music analysis (such as the rise of Math Rock and Polyphia’s guitar technique) and traditional rock journalism into an engaging digital format.
Result
The project resulted in a publication that reflects hands-on development in editorial design, content curation, and visual communication. By combining structured columns, infographics, custom feature spreads, and an authentic editorial tone, the initiative established foundational skills in layout hierarchy, visual storytelling, and publication management.
