About the project
Más Quirófanos, Más Vida is a public health infrastructure project led by Honduras' Ministry of Health (SESAL) and implemented by UNOPS to reconstruct operating rooms and support facilities at Hospital Escuela.
Having created the initial visual identity in 2024, the project required a comprehensive rebranding in 2026 to align with incoming leadership while safeguarding the recognition built over the project's lifespan, ensuring the initiative's visual identity could continue serving its public mission seamlessly.

The challenge
The project needed to transition toward a more institutionally neutral identity while preserving the brand equity and heart motif established in the 2024 design. The challenge was to eliminate political associations tied to previous administrations without alienating the public, crafting a robust mark that could transcend political cycles and stand on its own long-term.
Result
The updated identity retains the original heart core while introducing a heartbeat pulse line (EKG wave) to directly reinforce its surgical and life-saving purpose. Paired with highly legible, accessible typography and the five stars representing national unity, the evolution resulted in a solid, resilient brand system built to outlast political shifts while maintaining immediate public recognition.
