About the project
I provided photographic coverage for the opening ceremony of World Health Day 2025, hosted in Honduras with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). The assignment focused on documenting the event's key moments, official protocol, institutional interactions, and the participation of national authorities, international partners, donors, and health professionals. The resulting imagery was produced to support PAHO's communications, media outreach, and institutional documentation.
The challenge
The event required working within a fast-paced agenda while maintaining consistent visual quality throughout high-level ceremonies, speeches, and official engagements. Capturing meaningful moments involving senior government officials, international representatives, donors, and PAHO leadership demanded careful anticipation, discretion, and adaptability. Balancing protocol photography with authentic storytelling was essential to create images that reflected both the significance of the event and the collaborative spirit behind it.
Results
The coverage strengthened PAHO's photographic archive with a comprehensive collection of high-quality images that continue to support institutional communications, publications, and digital channels. The project successfully documented one of the organization's most important regional events of the year, providing lasting visual assets for future outreach. In recognition of the quality and professionalism of the work delivered, I also received a formal letter of acknowledgment from the PAHO Representative in Honduras.
Feedback
The work Daniel did was timely and very valuable. Thanks to his presence, we were able to document the event with photographs and videos that now allow us to relive the experience and share it with those who were not there. That visual record ensures the legacy of a day that was important for the country and for the region.
